jessica starr | OWNER | RYT200, RCYT, MBA
Jessica’s yoga journey began in 1995 and as she began to feel the transformation yoga had in her life, physically and mentally, she felt inspired to strengthen her practice and share the gift of yoga with others. In 2015 Jessica created Yogi and the Farmer, an urban farming and community wellness initiative grounded in the philosophy that the mind, body, food connection is a sacred one. Rooted Yoga grew from this belief and has become a space for creating a warm and uplifting community environment.

Cultivate mindfulness through continuous movement linked with breath. Move through creative sequences that highlight proper alignment, supported with gentle hands-on assists. Move into your day with strength, flexibility and energy!
Yoga Sculpt takes the foundations of a fast-paced vinyasa-style yoga class and adds light weights during moves like chair pose and reverse warrior. Yoga Sculpt also incorporates cardio exercises to get your heart pumping and your blood flowing. And of course, there’s always a challenging core workout mixed in for a more intense anaerobic workout to strengthen and tone muscles.
This practice is designed to restore the nervous system and help release deeply held tensions from the body and mind. We use props to support the postures, while gently stretching and strengthening the body.

Evening flow is an early evening class with sequences from various schools of yoga. Close your day with this enlightening and energetic flow.
This donation-based class is tailored for those living with chronic illness and pain. All sizes, abilities, ages, and genders are welcome. BUTI Yoga® – Buti Yoga workouts transform your BODY + SOUL with cardio-intensive bursts of tribal dance, primal movement + conditioning woven into a dynamic yoga practice. Rooted Yoga is the only Northern Kentucky studio to offer Buti Yoga.
